Sailing Towards The Hills

"Sailing Towards The Hills"
5"x5" Original Watercolor On Paper

This is the last of these little guys for now. Moving on to other scenes. But I really like the hills in this one. I'm also happiest with these clouds. The balance just seems right.

Also, might I suggest that these all look pretty darn good together? If you'd like to purchase all three message me at sarahtuleart@yahoo.com. I will cut you a deal!

Another of my cloud studies. I really enjoy painting the sky over the lake. It reminds me of Northern Michigan where I grew up.

Tiny Moments

Another in my tiny boat series. These are addicting to paint!
The water is still around these moored sailboats and they seem to beckon you to take them out for the afternoon. Come on summer! Hurry Up!
To purchase any of my tiny boats for $15 each, please email me at: sarahtuleart@yahoo.com or call me at (248) 977-0732. They are matted and ready to be slipped into a 6"x6" frame.

Tiny Sunsets

I painted these miniature paintings looking for a way to set some artwork in a lower price bracket. These paintings are 2.5'x3.5" and are known as "Artist Trading Cards" or at least they're the correct size to be trading cards. I'll be matting them so that they'll fit into a 6"x6" frame.
I have several other artist's cards framed and hung in my home and when hung all together it creates a neat assortment on the wall.
To purchase these at $15 each, please email me at: sarahtuleart@yahoo.com or call at (248) 977-0732. They will be matted and ready to slip into a frame.

With The Wind

Out on Lake Charlevoix there is always a plethora of sailboats. White sails dot the horizon and the shoreline for as far as you can see. Out there on the water the wind blows through their hair and the boat rides the waves and sends up a spray of water. I make do on the shore eating my sandwich and sketching them...I can't afford a sailboat. Such is life.
To purchase this painting contact me by email at sarahtuleart@yahoo.com or call the Cycling Salamander Gallery in Charlevoix, where this painting is headed. (231) 838-6460.

Lets Go Boating

When recently driving past a lake, this scene simply screamed summer to me. The calm lake, the boats pulled out on the lawn BEGGING to be put in the water. It made me want to park the car, rush over to them and go for an afternoon boat ride. I didn't, lets face it, who wants to spend a summer in jail for stealing a rowboat of all things? But I did snap several pictures and envied the people who owned this great little spot. They really have it made.
This painting is for sale, unframed for $65. To purchase contact me by email at sarahtuleart@yahoo.com
Tomorrow I'm participating in Mackinaw City's FIRST EVER paint out! I'm going with a family friend but if you catch us out in Mackinaw somewhere stop over and say hi! I'd love to talk with you, don't worry about interrupting me; the painting will still be there after we're done chatting. Anyway, look out for artists painting en plein air tomorrow in the Mackinaw area, hopefully there'll be several of us!

Perched

My father took me out on his boat as a farewell to summer a few weeks ago. We slowly trolled the river and when it met up with the lake we made a circle and headed back. As we came back to the river-mouth I saw this little guy perched upon the river marker. I thought "that would be a neat scene to paint" so I snapped some photos of him as we floated by. This painting is for sale, please check it out in my Purchase Gallery tab at the top of the screen or contact me at sarahtuleart@yahoo.com!
