Next Weeks Forecast

This upcoming Saturday, August 3rd, is the paint out in Glen Arbor! 60 artists will spread out across Leland County for the day to paint in plein air and then in the evening from 5:30-7:30 there will be a wet painting sale at the Glen Arbor Art Association. I'm looking forward to this fun event and if you're in the area be sure to come check it out! I'm also open to suggestions as to what/where I should paint for the day! Then on August 9th I have an art opening at Northgoods in downtown Petoskey! The reception is Friday, August 9th from 6-9 pm. The show will run through the 23rd so be sure to drop by and see what I've been working on! 

Below is a pic of my new studio space! It's so nice not to have to paint at the dining room table anymore! Come and see me sometime! I'm located at Mitchell Strreet Suites next to the Grand Traverse Pic Co. in downtown Petoskey! 

Glen Arbor Show

This past weekend I spent some time in Glen Arbor Michigan. I had a solo show at the Glen Arbor Art Association . It was a great experience. The space itself was nice and bright and airy with some great views of the surrounding forest. Very inspiring place to paint. Hopefully I will be doing more with GAAA in the future! Below is an image of the exhibit space with my easel all set up. I was making use of my time and getting some more painting done!

I wanted to thank everyone that was able to come out to my show this past weekend at the Glen Arbor Art Association. I really appreciate the folks that come in to see me and chat. It's very encouraging! 

Also got to do a little camping which was wonderful. Such a good time! 

Tomorrow it's back to painting. If you didn't get to the GAAA this weekend come out and see us on August 3rd in the evening for a wet painting sale after the GAAA Paint Out! Should be tons of fun! 

New Michigan Lake Tile Series

If you are a collector of tiles or are looking for a unique way to redo the backdrop in your kitchen I may just have a solution for you! I recently did a series of watercolor paintings to be made into tiles by Little Traverse Tileworks here in Petoskey! They feature lakes from Emmet and Cheboygan Counties including Mullett Lake, Burt Lake, Pickerel Lake, Black Lake, Walloon Lake, Lake Charlevoix, Little Traverse Bay and more!

If there is a lake image that you would like and I haven't painted it yet, I can do that for you too! 

Images of some of the lakes are below. I apologize for the crappy picture but I haven't had time to install new software on my new computer yet. Oh the setbacks when you have a computer crash!

Sneak Peek- Glen Arbor Show

Ok! So now that my "new" computer is in working order here are a few images I intend to have at my upcoming show this weekend in Glen Arbor. I'd like to invite everyone to the opening reception on Friday evening. It's from 6-9pm at the Glen Arbor Art Association and I promise to have good food available!
I'll also be around from 10-5 on Saturday and 10-3 on Sunday if you are around for the weekend. I plan to be demo painting and would love to chat with you!

Fallen Off The Face Of The Earth

I wanted to let everyone know that I haven't been posting because my computer crashed and I haven't had any access to one. But we finally got a new one so watch out! I shall be posting new work soon! 

This coming Friday (the 19th) I have a solo weekend show at the Glen Arbor Art Association in Glen Arbor, MI. The reception is Friday evening from 6-9pm is open to the public and I'll be there to meet and talk with you! I'll also be there all day Saturday and until 3pm on Sunday. So come on by if you're in the area and check out my new work and chat a while with me. You could also take a trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes for a dip in Lake Michigan. It's supposed to be a hot one! 

I'll post again soon to show you some of the work I intend to have hanging at Glen Arbor and fill you in on other details.
