When recently driving past a lake, this scene simply screamed summer to me. The calm lake, the boats pulled out on the lawn BEGGING to be put in the water. It made me want to park the car, rush over to them and go for an afternoon boat ride. I didn't, lets face it, who wants to spend a summer in jail for stealing a rowboat of all things? But I did snap several pictures and envied the people who owned this great little spot. They really have it made.

Tomorrow I'm participating in Mackinaw City's FIRST EVER paint out! I'm going with a family friend but if you catch us out in Mackinaw somewhere stop over and say hi! I'd love to talk with you, don't worry about interrupting me; the painting will still be there after we're done chatting.
