Golden Shadows

Late afternoon light filters through the trees on one of my favorite trails near Harbor Springs. I love walking the pathway and taking in the smell of cedar and listening to Lake Michigan crash against the shore in the distance. Late afternoon sun always seems to turn everything to gold and I appreciate that small pleasure in life.

As We Enter A New Year...

As we enter into a new year I have decided as one of my New Year Resolutions to donate 100% of the  proceeds from one painting each month to the Manna Food Project, a local food bank here in Northern Michigan. They help near 3400 families a month and have been in operation since 1987.

Watch The Waves With Me

I love the colors of the sea and the feeling of the salty breeze in my hair. It's all very relaxing to me. I love being by the water. Guess I'm lucky I live in Michigan where there's plenty of it. Although, there's nothing quite like being by the sea. Which I'm sure is why this family is vacationing there.

The Snowball Fight

 December has just been crazy! I'm sure you all know how the holiday season goes. Suddenly now I feel as if it's staring me down and I've barely posted this month. So sorry!

The above painting is of a friendly snowball fight. I've participated in many and hope to indulge this winter. Just don't aim at my head!
