I enjoy taking strolls around town now that the weather is enjoyable. On Monday it rained quite a bit and it broke the humidity. So on Tuesday I went for a leisurely stroll through Bay View and down to the lake shore. 

There is a little dead end road there and the name of it escapes me. But down at the end there is a low stone wall with pots of geraniums set out. Several chairs are aimed to look out over the bay and it's really all quite cheerful.

Also, I apologize if you signed up for my monthly newsletter and have not received the one for June. I had some troubles with my program and it skipped several people on the list. The Terrace Inn and Restaurant is located inside of the Bay View Association here in Petoskey. It's an intriguing old building full of character. 

In October I happen to know that the local paranormal society is hosting an event here. It's called the Little Traverse Bay ParaFest and it's quite a big deal if you're in to that sort of thing. Tickets are available by checking out their site here. 

But on a normal day when you aren't ghost hunting, the Terrace Inn is also quite beautiful and relaxing. It's been around since 1911 and has been a popular spot with resorters. It's located in a beautiful wooded neighborhood featuring homes from the 1800's. The bay is just a short walk away and if you need some encouragement...so is ice cream :)
